(ABM FN-Dow Jones) Apple will invest more than $ 430 billion in the United States over the next five years. The US iPhone maker, among others, reported it Monday afternoon.
This investment will create about 20,000 jobs in the United States during this period, Apple said.
“In this time of recovery and reconstruction, Apple is investing even more in innovation and manufacturing in all 50 US states,” said CEO Tim Cook.
The $ 430 billion investment plan focuses on data center investments and capital spending in the United States and other domestic investments, Apple said.
As part of the plan, Apple is focusing in particular on the state of North Carolina, where it is investing $ 1 billion, among other things, in a new campus, creating at least 3,000 new jobs. An additional $ 110 million is being injected into improving the state’s infrastructure, including roads, bridges and high-speed internet.
