SINT-MARTENSDIJK – Alderman Corniel van Leeuwen today distributed the trees ordered by the residents. Residents could collect the trees at the municipal workshop in Sint-Maartensdijk.
Last September, residents of the municipality of Tholen could order a maximum of six free trees per address via ZMf.nl. On December 8, 9 and 10, 2022, the trees ordered can be picked up at the municipal workshop in Sint-Maartensdijk. A total of 4,500 trees will be distributed over three days.
Tree Distribution Action
The municipality of Tholen leads the tree sharing campaign together with ZMf, Stichting Landschapsbeheer Zeeland and Velt Zeeuwse Eilanden. Like last year, the municipality of Tholen made an additional contribution to the initiative to offer more residents the opportunity to make their living environment more beautiful, greener, fresher and healthier. Residents had a choice of willow, linden, walnut, apple, mirabelle plum, hawthorn, filbert, guelder rose, yellow dogwood, holly, and privet. A total of 16,000 trees will be distributed in Zeeland.
