A new world series leads to the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc

The Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB) is the most prestigious ultra-trail in the world. Those who wish to participate can try to qualify from next year thanks to the all new UTMB World series.

Of UTMB World Series will be the successor of Ultra-trail world tour. This UTMB World Series consists of four types of events. From the lowest to the highest level, these are the UTMB World Series Qualifications, of UTMB World Series Events, of Major UTMB World Series and the UTMB World Series Finals.

These “ finals ” are the point of the pyramid, the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc. During this legendary event in the Alps – on French, Swiss and Italian territory – the UMTB World Series champions (m / f) will be crowned from 2022 in three categories: OCC (50 KB), CCC (100K) and UTMB (100M). You can assert your starting license for the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc through the other races of the UTMB World Series. Seven are currently known:

– Panda Trail by UTMB (China)
– Gaoligong by UTMB (China)
– Tarawera Ultramarathon by UTMB (New Zealand)
– Ultra-Trail Australia by UTMB (Australia)

In the second half of this year, many new events will be added to this list, spread around the world. Those who finish ahead will automatically qualify for the Finals on Mont Blanc, but by participating in a qualifying match you will in any case have access to a lottery where you will have the chance to participate in the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc. .
