Celebrities have responded with joy after Democratic nominee Joe Biden was announced as the next president of the United States.
Following the announcement on Saturday morning, the stars, including Haryana Grande and Liso, took to social media, revealing that they were shedding tears of joy over the news.
‘Thank God’ Haryana wrote on Twitter, referring to the newly elected President and soon Vice President Kamala Harris.
‘Let’s get to work, USA. It is time to hold those responsible accountable. It’s time for them to listen. It’s time for a real change in our policies and practices, ” Liso wrote on Instagram, showing a video below of her rolling with a tear on her cheek.
Following the announcement on Saturday morning, the stars, including Haryana Grande and Liso, took to social media to express their joy and tears.
Meanwhile, other stars including Alyssa Milano, Lady Gaga, Ben Stiller, Pet Midler and Eva Longoria took to social media to celebrate.
Kim Kardashian, who worked with President Trump on criminal justice reform – seemed to give him the stamp of approval, sharing a photo of Biden and Harris with blue romantic hearts.
Kardashian made no mention of her husband Kanye West, who voted in 12 states and received 60,000 votes out of a total of 160 million.
