What?
Ghent University supports the summer academy project and invites employees to have an inspiring (and socially relevant) experience during the summer.
Together with passionate colleagues, you teach children (preferably third grade primary education) to take their first steps in science and learning delays are avoided during the summer holidays.
Target?
Giving young people a positive vision of their future and their future and focusing on talents, well-being and the network. We make young people curious about the future by giving them a taste of a varied range. In this way, they get to know each other and can make more targeted choices for the future. It motivates you to learn!
Under the name “the future is ours”, we offer interactive workshops in the summer academies, which we have set up together with Sportaround (Bernadettewijk) and Standaard Muide vzw.
You can contribute!
Put your research or your field in the spotlight by offering a workshop to young people.
Two preparatory sessions are planned to build this interactive workshop together, adapted to the target audience and to discuss it with colleagues. A brief review of the previous edition can be found here. Also VRT news came to take a look.
