The highly anticipated film will be released on August 11 Red, white and royal blue on Prime Video. We see the British crown prince and the son of the American president in a love story. To give fans a taste, Prime Video has already released two short clips.
Beside heart stopper on Netflix, Prime Video will also feature an LGBTQ+ story in August. It is Red, white and royal blue, a film based on the book of the same name by Casey McQuiston. With just over a month to go until the film’s release, Prime Video has shared two short clips. In addition, we see how the two main characters do not support each other at all at the beginning.
Red, white and royal blue
The original story is about Britain’s Prince Henry and Alex Claremont-Diaz, the son of the first female President of the United States. After an incident at the royal wedding, the two must pretend to be a good match in order to save the president’s image.
Although it’s hard at first because they can’t stand each other, later it changes 180 degrees. As in a good romantic story, the two fall in love with each other. But that wasn’t entirely planned either, as a relationship between an heir to the throne and a president’s son naturally ends up under the microscope.
First extracts
The roles of Henry and Alex are played in the new film by Nicholas Galitzine (purple hearts) and Taylor Zakhar Perez (The kissing booth). The mother of Alex and the American president is played by Uma Thurman.
In the early clips, we mostly see how the two would rather get lost than get rich. For example, there is a scene in which they are asked to sit closer to each other, but it is difficult. In another clip, Alex asks if Henry is hungry. The latter answers this question with “Yes, I could eat something”. This seems to break the ice a bit more.
