Young Sweden – Young Colombia 0-0
Mayckel Lahdo Young started in the starting line-up against Scotland, but against his Colombian counterparts, coach Daniel Backstrom wanted to see eleven new names. Nevertheless, Lahto was allowed to come on with fifteen minutes to play with the score 0-0. The attacker made a serious goal attempt but was unable to convert the score.

Saturday
Grenada – USA 1-7
The USA has done good business in the CONCACAF Nations League. 1-7 in and against Grenada. With this, the Americans lead the group and can advance to the finals with a draw in their last game against El Salvador. Djordje Mihailovic sat on the bench for the entire match.

France U20 – Netherlands U20 1-2
With Myron van Brederode, Fedde de Jong and Rome-Jayden Owusu-Oduro in the starting line-up, the Netherlands under-20s won the exhibition match against their French counterparts. De Jong made it 1-2 for his side with a wonderful ball past Yuri Regier, who assisted Emmanuel Emeka for the winning goal. This will be the only international match for the Netherlands Under-20 team this season.

Friday
Australia – Ecuador 3-1
Matthew Ryan has won the first of two exhibition games with Australia against Ecuador. The captain made five saves to lead the Socceroos to a 3-1 win. The 79-times international from Australia plays another exhibition game against Ecuador on Tuesday.

Japan – Uruguay 1-1
In Tokyo, Yukinari Sugawara drew 1-1 against the Uruguayan national team. The right-back made his Japanese national team debut on Friday afternoon and was allowed to finish almost the entire match. On Tuesday, the right-back could make his third appearance for The Land of the Rising Sun. The team will then play against Colombia in the next match of the friendly Grin Cup.

Gibraltar – Greece 0-3
With Pantelis Hatzidiakos in the starting line-up, Greece started the first match of the European Championship qualification series. The Greeks are in the same group as the Netherlands. Hatzidiakos and his teammates kept a clean sheet and Portugal won 0-3. Vangelis Pavlitis also did the minutes. The striker came on in the last half hour, but the final score was already on the scoreboard. On Monday, the Greeks face Lithuania in a friendly.

Sweden – Belgium 0-3
With Jesper Karlsson on the bench for ninety minutes, Sweden immediately suffered a heavy defeat in their first European Championship qualifier. Romelu Lukaku’s hat-trick made it 0-3 in Solna.

Thursday:
Hungary – Estonia 1-0
Milos Gerkes played for Hungary in a friendly against Estonia on Thursday evening. The Hungarian made his breakthrough into the national team in September and has since become a permanent fixture in coach Marco Rossi’s squad. The left back finished the game and won 1-0.

Young Scotland – Young Sweden 2-3
Twenty-year-old Mäkel Lahto played against his Scottish counterparts with Young Sweden on Thursday evening. Prior to the meeting, Lahto played twice for the Swedish U21 team. In both games, the winger was good for a goal and an assist. The Thursday-evening exhibition game was a 2-3 win for the Swedes. Lahto played 69 minutes.
