The free version of LastPass Password Manager will no longer work on mobile phone and PC as of March 16. Users must choose the type of device they want to use Password Vault on. The change from mid-March means that LastPass will be less accessible to people who don’t pay for the service, but use the safe on their laptops and smartphones, for example.
They now have to choose whether their use is for computers (including Internet browsers on desktops and laptops) or mobile devices (smartphones, tablets and smartwatches). In these categories, users are still allowed to use an unlimited number of devices.
A paid subscription to LastPass costs 34.80 euros per year. The company also offers family plans.
