Saturday night marks the second installment of AEW’s full gear payout, and reminders of the start of this year’s show are one of the best PBV offerings ever offered by advertising. Like the weekly editions of All Out BPV and Dynamite in September, a limited number of fans will attend Daily’s Place for Full Gear.
At the main event, John Moxley will place the AEW Championship in a row against Eddie Kingston in an “I Quit” match. The two have been at loggerheads for the past several weeks since Moxley defeated Kingston in the September 23 episode of Dynamite. Kingston came out on top and made it clear he never hit Moxley. Moxley will look to continue his AEW title rule that began when he defeated Chris Jericho in the Revolution last February.
In full gear last year, Cody had an interesting condition in his match against Jericho: if Cody loses, he will never challenge for the AEW Championship again. At this point, Cody currently holds the DNT title (he will defend Saturday against Darby Allin). The Young Bucks have made a similar announcement for their AEW Tag Team Championship match against FDR in full gear. If Young Bucks lose, they will never challenge AEW tag titles again.
In addition, Jericho will fight the MJF, and if the MJF wins, he will be allowed to join the inner circle. With the AEW Championship No. 1 rival match between Kenny Omega and “Hangman” Adam Page, it could be a wild evening at the Daily Place on Saturday.
CBS Sports will be with you the whole way on Saturday, updating this story with live results and detailed reviews of each match with highlights. AEW full gear starts at 8pm ET, with the buy-in pre-show starting an hour earlier. Complete results and standards for each match can be found in the live updates below the card.
